Indigenous Skilled Labourer – Position Available

Clearflo is seeking an Indigenous skilled labourer to join the team and aid in construction of water treatment systems for Indigenous communites.

We fully appreciate the importance of learning from, and respecting the cultures in which we operate and provide clean water to. As we cultivate our knowledge in community, we recognize the diversity of Indigenous peoples, and are continuously learning more about the challenges and barriers faced by Indigenous Peoples. We choose to help in bringing down the barriers that limit diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

The Position
As a skilled labourer, you will be joining our production team in our facility in Courtenay to participate in the construction of water treatment systems. You will be trained in a variety of areas including basic fabrication including woodwork, plastics and metalwork. In addition to this, you will learn about plumbing, piping, solar energy equipment, and electrical components. You will also be trained in water filtration equipment and processes. We will be patient and we will help you to learn, as we are all here to help one another. We will celebrate your successes and speak openly about your struggles and offer solutions and support, to see you grow!

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform tasks with the production team to support production operations.
- Provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area.
- Ensure that work is completed during regular hours.
- Demonstrate ability to manage equipment, and labour in order to foresee work planning needs and requirements.
- Engage and participate in Clearflo Solutions Inc.’s safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- This position is only open to Indigenous Peoples and preferably youth.
- Transportation to and from facility
- Good communication skills and a safety-conscious attitude
- Ability to maintain a professional and helpful attitude at all times.
- Equipment operation experience considered an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Hourly (dependent upon experience, to be negotiated)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- A current resume.

- This is a full-time position. There will be a 3-month probation period. Your wages will increase commensurate with your demonstrated abilities and growth. This is a long-term commitment.
